Elekta are given a durable finish
Elekta’s systems and solutions are used at over 4,000 hospitals around the world to treat cancer with radiation therapy, to diagnose and treat brain disorders as well as to run efficient and effective clinical practices.
Elekta wanted to upgrade their production facility at Crawley to reflect the high specification business they are in. The site had a mixture of floor finishes including failed vinyl and various painted finishes. There was also a question mark on the substrate as to whether or not it was a magnesite composite floor.
Gallagher’s visited the site and completed a detailed sample, which included taking core samples for analysis. We reported the findings and provided a detailed quotation with various options for Elekta to consider.
Elekta was looking for a long term solution with a professional finish that could be used throughout their facility. They chose a self flowing epoxy topping system in a light reflective colour, Dawn Grey. The works were completed over the Christmas shutdown period to avoid any loss of their critical production.
The result is a seamless, easily to clean, durable finish, which is both attractive and practical, reflecting Elekta’s own very high standards.
