Internet Logistics find flooring solution online
Operating from a 55,000 square foot warehouse, Internet Logistics provide solutions for online shopping for famous household names. The warehouse is multi functional facilitating a mixture of multi-pick fulfilment and bulk storage items.
In 2006, they suffered from a serious flood, which resulted in the floor being covered in mud debris once the water level had drained. The dried mud caused dust residues, which started to invade stock. It was the ideal opportunity to upgrade their warehouse floor.
We completed a detailed survey and provided a range of options, liasing with their insurance company. Due to the massive volumes of stock, both goods in and marshalling of product, it was essential that we could work closely with Internet Logistics. We planned the works in several stages, in between large containers of imports being delivered and Christmas consumer campaigns being serviced.
Any failing concrete joints were repaired to stop stacker trucks from tipping products. We completed their floor with two coats of a high build epoxy resin coating system in Red and Dawn Grey, incorporating an anti-slip aggregate to ramp areas in goods inwards and outwards. Yellow cross hatching and gangway markings were installed to create fork lift truck aisles.
